Workshop 2012

Location Shots by Willem

We have invited internationally renowned fine art Swiss photographer
Philippe Pache
to be our guest presenter on the 2012 workshop
.
Philippe is a creative photographer of the highest caliber and his work reflects the abstract and the sensual realm both of the landscape and the female figure

Visit Philippe's website

We would like to share a new experience with you by inviting you to join us in March 2012 on a Desertlight workshop with a difference.

We have for a long time contemplated the need for renewal in the format of the workshop and now aim to lift and enhance the creative experience to a completely new level.

The workshop will be held at the usual venue on our farm and there will be the same opportunities as before to experience and photograph the amazing landscape but in addition we will make use of the Dina house as backdrop for creative work with female models. The focus will be on creative photography incorporating the female figure in the environment and the desert landscape.

The workshop will be limited to 12 participants only and due to the exclusivity of the workshop and additional expense of the guest presenter and the models the workshop fee will be R19,500.00 per participant. The fee includes accommodation, tuition, all meals, model fees ......

and a mind-blowing paradigm shift

In August 2011 I attended a workshop by Phillipe Pache in Cortona Italy during which I realised just how long overdue it has been to take a fresh look at my photography and move to a new level of expression. The experience was amazing and similar to that which I had 20 years ago when I attended my first workshop with Freeman Patterson in Namaqualand and first discovered photography as a creative medium. Willem - Here is a sample of my recent work

Dates: Sunday evening 25 March 2012 to Sunday morning 1 April 2012
